PoV: Going Too Far?

We have advanced so much with regard to technology that it can be viewed upon as a blessing and a curse.

From My Space to Facebook and Instagram to Snapchat, social media is just going too far. I am quite sure the social media sites or apps were created for a good purpose; however, I am so tired of seeing females downgrade themselves for likes. Is this what we have come to? We are letting a picture, which can be altered define beauty. I guess no one cares about how what they post can affect potential job offerings. I just believe that certain things should be kept private and not posted at all. If you look back at the photo 20 years from now, would you have any regrets? I am at the point where they could remove all the social media sites and I would be just fine.

Has social media gone too far?

PoV: Resolutions

Remember those goals you wrote down in the beginning of the New Year to either lose weight, pursue your dreams or get more sleep…

How are they coming along?

I know committing to completing a task – either big or small – is easier said then done but I’ve found great fulfillment in successfully beginning and ending an endeavor.

This weekend,  I checked off one of my resolutions: Completing a 5k! My dear friend Alisha and I braved the wind and cold weather  to cross the finish line in about 45 minutes. We thought it would take two hours..ha!

How are your resolutions coming along? And what steps are you taking to complete them?

Such A Lady…

Recently, I sent a picture of a pair of shoes I was lusting over to a friend.

I texted, “Do you like these shoes? I love them!”

He replied, “They’re so you!”

Enough said! SOLD!!

And to make the purchase even sweeter, the shoes were an additional 30 percent off.

Won’t he do it!!! (**insert praise**)

What’s your latest purchase?

What do you do when you love the outfit by hate the pictures?!?!

Post them anyway…

Sometimes beauty is in the fog but we miss it because there’s no clarity. Now, while that doesn’t apply to diamonds..lol.. it definitely matters in life.

The Scent

One way to understand a lady is to know her scent.

This scent may be wrapped in volatile top notes, blended with fragrant middle notes and punctuated with powerful base notes. Regardless of the combination, the scent is a perfect exchange without saying a word.

Personally, I have a couple of perfumes that I adore but it definitely depends on the weather. I prefer a more woodsy smell during the colder months while lighter notes line my dĂ©colletage when it’s warm.

What’s your scent?

PoV: In Life We Always Face Tests

In life we always face tests.

Some as simple as what one plus one equals and some as complex as to how to mend a relationship with someone that you were really close to. With every test you’re given a problem and must go on the quest to discover the solution. Some may say that obtaining the solution is what makes the difference in mastering the test, but I believe it’s the process that we go through to find the solution that shows the TRUE mastery of the test itself! In plainest terms, when we go through obstacles in life, in order to get to the break-though we are seeking, we must realize several things: it does not occur overnight, it’s a process, and that there is something to be learned that will provide the solution you need to overcome what you’re going through.

I can speak on this because right now I’m going through a test and although I’ve had test in the past, it seems like each test gets harder and harder to master. But the beauty of it all is that I have a guide that always steps in and reveals to me what I like to call pointers in order to master my tests. He goes by the name of Jesus! Some call him their Bright and Morning Star, some even say he’s their Lily of the Valley, but to me he’s my Peace, Joy, Love, Happiness… simply put my HE’S MY EVERYTHING!! He always steps in when I get close to aborting my test and gives me the strength I need to sustain thru it!!!

So brothers and sisters reading remember this- You can past whatever test you encounter because “greater is HE that is in YOU than HE that is in the world! (1 John 4:4)” Be blessed and encouraged and reach that 100% score of MASTERY!
